Mold Can be anything from the ordinary such as types of fungi such as yeast, some other cheeses are a type of mold, and life saving penicillin is a product of mold.

But then it can be very unhealthy.  Intrusion of water in your home can result in mold growth.  Once water is mitigated you may think your problem is gone, but if your home is not returned to a proper humidity and moisture level mold spores may grow and multiply quickly.  Organic materials such as wood, paper, drywall, and insulation provide food sources for mold to flourish.
