If your business experiences a water damage or flood, what will happen to all of your documents? Many businesses are required to save document for a certain amount of time and these documents tend to be stored in boxes. They are often store in the basement. What happens if these documents end up underwater or at the very least, wet?
Call SERVPRO of Barron, Dunn & Rusk Counties. We have the solution for your document problem! SERVPRO has some very efficient document drying processes that will save your documents no matter how they’re affected. These processes include sublimation (freeze drying), cleaning, digitization, deodorization and sterilization if mold has occurred.
Sublimation is the process in which a substance is converted directly from a solid to a gas or from a gas to a solid without an intermediate liquid phase. Think of dry ice here. When it is exposed to normal conditions, it will begin to sublimate. It goes directly from a solid form to gaseous form, but is never a liquid.
SERVPRO of Barron, Dunn & Rusk Counties starts the document handling process by carefully packing your documents and then freezing them. This stabilizes the document and prevents further damage. Once they are frozen, they will be shipped to the SERVPRO headquarters for the professionals there to run them through the Vacuum Freeze Drying Chamber. This is the only method approved by the National Archives and Records Administration and the General Services Administration.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to SERVPRO of Barron, Dunn & Rusk Counties if you have any questions about document drying or have a water damage and need documents dried! 715-643-7171
